Dodd Veterinary Imaging Services, Inc.

Dr. Dodd performs ultrasound and echocardiogram procedures using a Biosound MyLab 30 ultrasound machine.  It has color, CW, and PW, and HPRF Doppler imaging capabilities.  It has XView-speckle reduction, tissue enhanced imaging, and MView-Compound imaging, to give the best image possible.  Less expensive machines do not have these capabilities so image quality is poorer.

 She has taken ultrasound short courses at Wake Forest University, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State University Veterinary Schools, Universal Ultrasound, and Biosound Esoate over the past eighteen years.  She is a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, American Institute Of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Veterinary Ultrasound Society, and the North Carolina Ultrasound Society.  She likes to have the client see videoclips and images of their pets ultrasound whenever possible, as she feels that "a picture tells one thousand words".
