Chili
- Dr. Dodd performs ultrasound and echocardiogram procedures using a Biosound MyLab 30 ultrasound machine. She has taken ultrasound short courses at Wake Forest University, Virginia Tech and North Carolina State University Veterinary Schools, Universal Ultrasound, and Biosound Esoate over the past fourteen years. She is a member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, American Institute Of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Veterinary Ultrasound Society, and the North Carolina Ultrasound Society. She likes to have the client see videoclips and images of their pets ultrasound whenever possible, as she feels that "a picture tells one thousand words".
Jack
Dr. Dodd is a supporter of the Mayor's Youth Employment Program. The past few summers she has hired a high school student who is interested in veterinary medicine. The program places youth in summer employment, giving them unprecedented access to stimulating work enviroments and mentors. It gives the students a better understanding of career demands, skills sets and qualifications for future employment.
